Equipment Usage & Safety
Personal Property: TerraScale RC is not responsible for damage caused to personal property or third-party items that occur within the event space if participants do not follow designated course boundaries.
Proper Operation: All participants are required to operate TerraScale RC vehicles according to the instructions provided by our staff.
Supervision: Children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult at all times while operating or interacting with the RC vehicles.
Prohibited Conduct: Reckless driving, intentional collisions with other vehicles, or using equipment in prohibited areas (outside the designated course) is strictly prohibited.
Damage Policy: Any damage resulting from a participant’s failure to follow staff safety instructions or intentional misuse of equipment may result in the immediate removal of that participant from the event, and the event host may be held financially responsible for the cost of repairs.
LiPo Battery Safety: Participants are prohibited from tampering with any battery compartments or electrical components of the RC equipment, as these contain high-performance LiPo batteries that require specialized handling.
Right to Cease Operations: TerraScale RC reserves the right to suspend or terminate the usage of our equipment at any time if we determine that the environment has become unsafe or if our staff is subjected to harassment or threatening behavior.
Venue-Specific Requirements
Responsibility for Authorization: The Client/Event Host is solely responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions, permits, licenses, or authorizations required to host TerraScale RC on the selected premises. This includes, but is not limited to, private property owners, homeowners’ associations (HOAs), city parks departments, or private commercial venues. Simply ask the land-owner if it’s okay to have TerraScale RC there, and you can provide our website to them!
Venue Suitability & Access: The Client must ensure that the venue provides adequate, level, and safe space for the modular course setup as discussed during the booking process. TerraScale RC requires clear access to the load-in area at least 30 minutes prior to the event start time. We are able to setup offroad as well with our vehicle; the setup area must be flat for mobile trailer use.
Indemnification for Venue Issues: TerraScale RC shall not be held liable for any fines, legal actions, property damage, or service interruptions resulting from the Client’s failure to secure valid permissions or provide an appropriate site. If an event is shut down by venue management or law enforcement due to lack of authorization, all service fees remain non-refundable.
Inclement Weather Backup: For outdoor event bookings, the Client must guarantee an indoor or covered backup location, such as a garage, pavilion, or interior space, to protect the equipment and ensure the event continues as planned.
Liability Waiver & Participant Authorization
Responsibility for Accuracy: The event host assumes the responsibility of ensuring that all guests are aware of the waiver requirement, though TerraScale RC staff reserves the right to perform final verification on-site.
Mandatory Waiver Requirement: Participation in any TerraScale RC event is strictly contingent upon the execution of a signed Liability Waiver.
Individual Participation: Every person participating—or their legal guardian in the case of minors—must be explicitly named in the digital liability waiver provided by TerraScale RC.
Pre-Event Completion: To ensure event efficiency, all participants are highly encouraged to complete the digital waiver via our provided link prior to the event start time.
No Waiver, No Entry: TerraScale RC reserves the right to deny any participant access to the equipment or the course if a valid, signed waiver has not been verified.
Adding Multiple Participants: You may list multiple participants on this form to expedite your check-in process.
- Legal Guardian Responsibility: By listing a minor who is not your own, you acknowledge that you are assuming full legal guardianship for that minor during the duration of this event.
- Liability for Damages: As the acting legal guardian for the duration of the event, you agree to be held personally and financially responsible for any damage caused to TerraScale RC equipment by the minor(s) you have listed on this form.
- Our Commitment: You are only held responsible for equipment malfunctions resulting from explicit failure to follow staff safety instructions or intentional misuse; if a car stops working during normal play, that is our responsibility, not yours.
